This year’s Fall Show will be held on Saturday October 10th and Sunday October 11th. The Fall Show is always scheduled for the weekend before Columbus/ Indigenous People’s Day Monday. Northern Pennsylvania typically reaches peak fall foliage conditions around this time so the forests surrounding the museum will (hopefully) be decked in rich and beautiful colors.
The museum grounds will come alive with historic trade demonstrations, live music, and contests. On Saturday our steam-powered circular sawmill will be running from 10 AM to 3 PM. Also on Saturday, we are excited to welcome musical group House of Sterling. Founded in Wellsboro PA by singer-songwriters Joe Callahan and Molly Cary, duo House of Sterling combines folk and Americana into a seamlessly enchanting blend. Bring your best, home-made pumpkin pie to the museum by noon on Saturday to be part of our Pumpkin Pie Contest. When you arrive, sign-up for the afternoon’s horseshoe pitching contest. Grab a bite to eat from our food vendors.
Other trade demonstrations will take place over both days of the event at the birch still, lumber camp kitchen, shingle mill, and the Eastern Loggers model railroad display.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase. There is no ATM on site so plan your visit accordingly.
