The Pennsylvania Lumber Museum is open year-round, but hours of operation change seasonally:
Winter Hours: (December 1-March 31) Friday-Sunday, 10am to 4pm
Summer Hours: (April 1-November 30) Wednesday-Sunday, 9am to 5pm
The museum is CLOSED on nearly all State and Federal holidays. We are OPEN on July 4th, unless that day falls on a Monday or Tuesday (in that case we are closed as usual).
The outside exhibits and the museum store begin to close 30 minutes prior to regular daily closing time. Please plan to arrive at least 90 minutes ahead of closing to allow sufficient time to fully experience all available exhibits. Thanks!

The Museums for All program helps to enable low-income families to explore Pennsylvania’s rich history and culture by visiting participating state-owned museums for a minimal fee of $2 per person (up to 4 people living in that household), with the presentation of an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and identification. This offer is for general admission only and excludes certain special programs, events, and fundraisers.
The Pennsylvania Lumber Museum is proud to be a participant in the Blue Star Museum program. Active military personnel and their immediate family receive free admission to the museum. The offer excludes certain special programs, events, and fundraisers.
The Pennsylvania Lumber Museum has partnered with our local libraries to create a free Museum Adventure Pass program. Each public library within 50 miles of the museum now has a Museum Adventure Pass in their catalog. Library members can check out the pass just as they would a book or other media. The pass grants free admission to the Lumber Museum for everyone in the passholder’s household. It can be used year-round for general admission to the museum. The offer excludes special programs, events, and fundraisers.
