Directions

The Lumber Museum is located in north central Pennsylvania, on US Route 6 (between mile-markers 187 and 188), midway between the communities of Galeton and Coudersport, Potter County. The Museum is set in the heart of the Susquehannock State Forest, where an abundance of State Parks, campgrounds, rental cabins and motels are available for an overnight stay. The area forests include bountiful trails, roads, streams, lakes, and picnic grounds that provide an excellent vacation destination for hiking, rafting, canoeing, hunting, fishing, bicycling, swimming and other outdoor recreation activities. The museum can be reached in approximately 1 hour from major Interstate Routes such as I-86 in New York State, and I-99/ Rt. 15 and I-80 in Pennsylvania.
