Bark Peelers’ Festival

The Bark Peelers’ Festival is a historical celebration of the wood hick and the traditional logging activities of Pennsylvania, held annually over the July 4th weekend. This signature event has been held at the Lumber Museum every summer since 1975. If you are planning a visit in advance and want to see the Lumber Museum at its best, this is the time to come! The site truly comes to life over the course of the two day program with contests, live demonstrations and an assortment of subject related vendors. It is also the only time during the year when we are able to operate our turn of the century sawmill.

The 2018 Bark Peelers’ Festival is scheduled for July 7 & 8!

Admission

  • Adults $10.00
  • Ages 3-11 $3.00
  • Under 3 FREE
  • Two Day Pass: Adults – $18.00* (Contact the Museum before June 30th)

ADVERTISE IN THE BARK PEELERS’ PROGRAM BOOKLET

The Pennsylvania Lumber Museum Associates sponsors an annual program booklet for the Bark Peelers’ Festival. This guide, which is shared with the annual Woodsmen Show (which takes place later in the summer) has a circulation of 10,000 copies. It is distributed to all participants at both events as well as with all the businesses who advertise with us. Advertising rates are quite reasonable and the exposure is widespread. The program booklet is a great way for you to get the word out about your business or service to an audience that is already here and looking for things to do and places to eat, shop and stay. The booklet is also kept by many as an event souvenir.
