Apple Pie Contest

 

Calling all bakers! We are looking for the Best Apple Pie in Potter County. See if your homemade pie can take a slice out of the competition.

All pies should be entered for judging on the Saturday of our Bark Peelers Festival between 9 AM – 12 PM. Pies should be dropped off at the Program Room inside the museum’s Visitor Center and competitors will fill out a short entry form.

Rules and Regulations:
1. This is an amateur competition.
2. All pies are baked at home.
3. All pies must be predominantly made with apples.
4. All pies must be delivered to the museum before 12:00pm.
5. Pies are judged for flavor, texture, visual appeal.
6. In each category, the apple pie is scored: Excellent, 3 points; Good, 2 points; Fair, 1 point. The pie receiving the highest total score is declared the winner!

Prizes: 1st place is awarded $50, 2nd place is awarded $25, and 3rd place is awarded $15.

Following the conclusion of the contest, all pie entries and pie dishes become the property of PALMA and are sold. Proceeds from the pie sale support the volunteer organization.

Any competitor winning 1st place three consecutive times may not compete in this contest for 1 year.
